i have a deliema

i have 2 rx7s right now. my black on is very very very reliable and i love driving it everyday. it has minor cosmetic problems with it that didnt bother me at the beginning but once i got used to the car seeing it everyday just bothers me more and more. i also have a blue rx7 that is completly gutted . im talking nothing but 2 seats and a dash in the interior and all the ac completly removed. im 95% done with making it able to run good and not overheat. it is going to be my "race" car i guess. but now i dont know whether to drive it on the road most of the time and start fixing my black car up or leave my black car alone and start racing my blue car. its not a bad problem to have but i just dont know what i want to do. maybe i can get some opnions and help to descide which would be the right route start off with.

So exactly what kind of "cosmetic problems" are we talking about? Bugs on the windshield or craters in the rear quarter panel? Rusted rockers or oxidized trim pieces? why can't you drive blackie while doing exterior work? what's still wrong with your "track" car? Keep it from overheating?!? thats somewhat vague & un-informative. More info needed please.

like i got a turbo 2 hood that is messed up on the drivers side it dont line up right wit the fender. the drivers side fender got hit but my buddys sister while she was backing up. so when i put a used fender on it it kindof dosent line up right. im going to need a new door shell cause someone broke in my car and to do it they pulled the top of the door out so now thats all bent out and stuff. i got S5 bumpers a little while ago and the plates that mount the bumper to the car eiyther have 1 or 2 studs broke or striped. so i need all new them u know. but even with all that wrong it still dont look bad but i just want it to be nice and straight u know. i want it to look as great as it runs. fixing all that snt goingto be that hard or expensive i think just going to take a long time u know to get it all right. and on the blue car all i need is a radiator to make it run. the guy who had it before me for some reason didnt have a thermostat in it so i got that in today. i moved the radiator in it and it started leaking on the bottom. i need to replace the long headlight rods in the blue car also cause they rusted out and broke

but on the other hand i want to go race the blue car so bad. ive had it a long time and its finally close to being able to ride. im gonna race it at the drag strip and drift the crap out of it and stuff u know. my black car is so reliable i just dont wanna mess it up doing something like that. i take pride in having i reliable rx7. i have no problems with how the car runs at all. not many people can say that. not around here at least. this is why its a hard descision

I would say to do both at the same time... why compromise? Sounds like you were a little hasty with some of your previous work... You should have lined up the replacement panels when you put them in. I wish we all had such "trivial" troubles. Get the blue one working properly while sourcing parts for the black one.
