I had an extra set of injectors, and....

I think my old injectors are leaking. SO I decided to clean up a set that I have had laying around. These have been unused and "stored" for about two years now.
Any way I was going to clean them so i got a 12volt source and some carb cealer and a bottle of solevent. I soaked them for about 10 minutes in the sol. then I hooked up my 12v source to open them and spary carb cleaner through. I heard no clik. So I kept trying for the click. Thinking I just couldn't hear it. It was still closed. Am I doing something wrong? I tried different polarity. are they skrewed?

12 volts and a good ground should have done it. Don't know what went wrong. I've had injectors that have been sitting over a year and they open just fine. I really don't think that you could have burnt them up doing what your doing. I've done it with and without a resistor inline and they all work just fine. Strange.

Tweaked.... can I suggest if you have not done it already, to put the injector to your mouth before and after you energize it and see if there is any flow at all. Hard to believe both went bad just sitting there.

more power

Solenoids in general pull a lot of current. You probably should see if you can find a more powerful voltage source. (Unless you were already using your car battery, in which case I don't know what to tell you.)
