I Could use some parts...

:sadwavey:

Can anyone give me the names of any websites that would have parts for my Gxl ?

The List :

shocks
shifter
a new engine harness kit, (maybe others)

those can be all aftermarket, and any that offer original parts. I am watching ebay daily but it can't hurt to look in other places. I am thankful for any help you can offer.

All I want at this point is a new engine wire harness. I have checked with "painless" and found nothing...all the aftermarket sites I checked had nothing, Hell...Mazda didn't even mention the existence of the RX7. I'm pretty sure I have a bad ground or something in the engine. This conclution comes from checking each fuse in the car individually and still having the short. The one other theory is a leak or some other problem with the brakes, (that's when the short acts up) causes a quick dip in voltage. Please....someone....know what's wrong with my baby....

one rule, dont ever go to the stealership...they will bend you over and ....well you get the idea...if anything look here for it first then ebay then if you really have to the stealership...(last resort) as far as your short theres prolly a live wire touching a ground, or maybe the ecu isent grounded and the engine isent shutting off all the way, meaning theres power still running in the engine....even after you've turned off the ignition....try changing out your batt. terminals maybe the ground isent working right....that or the starter wiring...and the brake thing, im not too sure what that is...

afaik the harnesses can only be bought new from mazda and cost as much as your car blue books for. your best bet is repairing your existing harness, rebuilding it or buying a good used one.

Go to www.mazdarecycling.com and get their number and call them, or go to ebay and lookup mrmazda7 his name is curtis james he might have one too.

Thanx - hopefully those sites will help. As per Curtis, I am in the midst of bidding on a new heater control, being how mine doesn't work on anything other than high...if it feels like running. Well here's to Ebay.......

tetraguru 04-04-06 01:07 AM

well I got a new heater control unit for 30 bucks....ebay....awesome !!!

Now I just need to fix that dam short in the engine....

Can anyone guess what it might cost to get the harness I have now repaired, or have everything in the engine tested to find it ?

Do you need the one that comes out of the firewall on the driver's side or passenger side? I have both and both work...

tetraguru 04-04-06 01:03 PM

This is a sad statement but I didn't know there are two....I'm not 100% sure where the short even is, I don't know if it's in the wiring or in a part, a bad ground, just don't know. What are you asking for them ?
