I bought a bushing kit!
 

From energy suspension.

I want to put it on. In the FSM it says around 4 hours to do it....Is that even remotly possible?! The car is in great shape, but it still 20 years old! I'M pretty sure all the screws will be fused with the bushings...

Any heads up on how to do this?!

If you are a professional mechanic with all the good tools, you might be able to finish in four hours. Typically, the most work is going to come with getting the old bushings off. Be prepared to use hammers, knives and even blow torches. If you get it done in 4 days you'll be doing very good. But the job is worth it if the original parts are still in and are now 20 years old. Polyethylene bushings will give a somewhat harsher ride over stock but the response and handling are great.

For a lot of stuff you are going to need a press....

I did the bushings in my car, and it took about 2 days.

Took a long time without a press, I used a vice.

Be sure to put lots of the lubricant on everything. You don't want to end up with a squeak somewhere.

That is definitely annoying, I learned that first hand. I'd get some spare lube if possible, not sure how much they provide in those kits.

Minimal in the kits, but it can be picked up from an auto parts store.

4 hours? No way well maybe if all the old bushing was off... I am not a pro mech but i am a tech and those old bushing is just nasty. I think the rear control arms alone would take around 2 to 3 hours. However long it takes you to install those bushing is going to worth 100% of your time. After the bushing installation your car's ride quality, handling and road feel will greatly improve. This could be due to the fact that most oem bushings are so worn out that they no longer affectively absorbe vibration.
Personaly opinion i would rate suspension bushing > headers or intake.

It took me four hours just to do the sway bar. I didn't a press or a vice. just a drill and hammer. I think it's worth it to pay a guy to do the work after that experience.

i get to do this soon enough, but im lucky and have a press. and a bead blaster to redo the metal parts while i have them out.
