HOW TO: T2 Vacuum Rack removal while retaining Oil/fuel lines
1 Attachment(s)
Ok, i asked this question last week and the only answer was to buy aftermarket lines for the oil feed to the turbo, and using rubber lines for fuel. I was removing the vac rack (rats nest) and didnt see the point in wasting money on stainless lines ect.
The rack has all the vac lines soldered together with some gold super strong soldier. I tired heating it up and it didnt budge, so I broke out my dremel and went caringly to town on the soldiered joints, took about 15 minutes and I am very pleased plus I saved myself some $$$. I love using as much from the factory as possible, so this was a great option. I painted them and did a few coats of clear. There are enough write ups on how to remove the emmisions so i will leave that alone. Pretty amazing how clean it is without the rack there. https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1248313185 |
Anything holding down your metal fuel line? if not, Id say forego it and just do a longer rubber fuel line.
Less points of failure |
Sweet, that looks great.

Less points of failure I am planning on fabbing a little bracket or using a rubber isolator. |
