how to remove hail dings/dents from aluminum hood
ok i have a t2 aluminum hood that has a few hail dents. how would i remove these? i tried searching and i couldnt find anything.

paintless dent removal? unless i was a pro i don't think i'd trust myself to attempt pounding/tapping out aluminum.
|
they are not huge dings. its just bothersome i know alot of members has had this happen since aluminun dings so easily.
|
"Pops-a-dent" ....i saw it on an infomercial, search for that and see what comes up on your search
|
try this, it might or might not work, haven't used it before tho....
go here http://www.alltvstuff.com/pad1.html |
your best bet is probably to just fill them and repaint your entire hood

I bought that "ding king" kit from Schucks, and it works great. May take a few tries, but it works.
|
how much is it?
|
Pops-A-Dent doesn't work, I've tried it. I've heard from numerous people that Ding King does work though.

i know for steel you can lay a towel over the dent with some dry ice, the extream cold will pull the dent out. i do not know if this will work with alm.

Get a flat face body hammer and a dolly. Put the dolly on the back side of the dent and hammer softly around the dent. When hammering start from the outside and work your way into the center of the dent (in a circular motion). Make sure to hold the dolly in place.
