How to open S5 Tail lights Housing?

My left s5 tail lights seem to be a little dirty from the inside housing. I went out to buy meguiars plastic cleaner to clean it. It was easy taking the tail lights out but I just couldn't seem to get in the inside of the tail lights. I unscrew every bolt on the tail lights but still doesn't want to come apart. Is there a way how to take it apart?

There is glue holding the lenses onto the housing. Heat up the oven to about 350, turn it off, and leave them in there about 10-15 min. Heating them up is the best way to weaken the glue, just be careful not to melt them.

You need to heat them up in the oven

The procedure is outlined at the beginning of this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ht=modernizing

yeah what you do is get fine grit sand paper , (1000 grit) or above and gently in a bucket of water start sanding until the whole light is done

next you get polishing compound- I USED 3M - Then you buff it out and it will come out like new

What does El Nene 7 mean when he says "gently in a bucket of water start sanding until the whole light is done"? Put the tail lights inside a bucket of water and then pull it out and sand it?
