Yeah a basic rebuild will set you back at least $1000 if they do the work, if you feel competant enough to do it yoursel fyou could get away with spending less at teh cost of possibly screwing up. But if I remember right there should be a few rotary builders in Cali, much closer to you than Kevin, though he is good and cheap.

you can do a decent rebuild at home for approx 700-800, but no warentee, on your own work, kevin is the man when it comes to rebuilds

And kevin offers a bangin price far outmatching any other company I have ever seen.

:molepoke: damn..i dont think i can drive it to kevin..

SmogSUX 12-12-05 01:04 AM

If you can get it to norcal I know someone who can do it. Karack has rebuilt a lot of guys motors and does it cheaper than pretty much everyone in cali..even has a warranty.

u can always remove ur engine and ship it to kevin and back..

westler91 12-12-05 01:35 AM

Yeah that rotary ressurrection dude isnt the pimple faced dooshbag I thought he was, he does quality rebuilds and I highly recommend him!

won't be any cheap shops in the south bay, unfortunately. there is a few independents like Dave(guitarjunkie on the forums) but i really don't even know what he charges for rebuilds.

my prices are similar to Kevin's but a tiny bit higher due to cost of living as with any shop in Cali, it would probably be cheaper to ship it out to Kevin than to drive it up to me and pick it back up but i haven't the need yet to ship engines so i'm not sure which is cheaper.

my suggestion is if you have plenty of time on your hands, learn to rebuild it on your own, it is a great learning experience. :)
