How much HP for an 11 second TII?

Hey guys i'm wondering about how much HP it would take w/ a TII engine/tranny, fully upgraded, to get 11 seconds in the 1/4 mile.

Thanks
~Geoff

my guess is around 350-400rwhp I know "ricerocket" on the forum has 411rwhp and runs an 11.8.

fiberglass that whole car take everything u dont need start cuttin metal pieces u dont need and get little bike tires in the front so u can have huge slicks in the back. then u can put in a 20b twin turbo:P

How about adding a nitrous system?

I ran 11.9 @ 117 with the stock block and ports.

I had at the time

T04E
GReddy FMIC
Haltech E6K
4 720's
TeamFC3S comp fuel pump
3 inch dp / mp
dual N1 cat back

running 14 @ around 12 psi

What'd you tune your A/F for?

Is that on reg. street tires...?

Im currently at an 11.81 hoping to see 10's this summer. You can see my mods in my sign. Im probally pushing somewhere around 380 to the wheels at 14psi.

Can you guys not run like 16+psi with your turbos?

BonsaiRX7 03-26-03 11:59 AM

Holy Sh*t that is fast. When I was in high school I had a car (1970 'Cuda 440 6-pack) with 450 horsepower and the best we could do on street tires was 12.88. That car would pull the front tires completely off the ground in first gear and it would pick one up in second!

the biggest concern when getting to the low 12s and high 11's is TRACTION, for your gsl-se you'll need to upgrade your drive train big time, shoot I know a guy with 3rd gen 3 rotor and the best time he has put down is a 12.2 on street tires but it is much more capable, its just got too much torqe to controll, he can't even rev it up off the line or he'll get wheel spin all the way down the track, he's got a T66 turbo and Mictrotech

dr0x 03-26-03 02:29 PM

He should get a set of 12in thick slicks... :D
