you're both noobs, if you want to post smart ass comments, either make sure its contextual, or take it to the lounge, where "anything goes."

And this is such a noob question that I don't want to asnwer it. Next time you ask, say "What is a safe boost?" or something that actually shows some competence.

Better yet, do a search...

Ya Rx-7 club is know for the members saying DO A SEARCH IDIOT! but ya like calio said the stock turbo is no good passed 12. So i would set the boost at about 10psi. I think i am going to search on how may times DO A SEARCH has been said on this site. ha

There's a sticky right at the top of the thread that says to do a search first. If you're not going to follow the forum rules then you might as well accept being taken apart.

As for your question, 10psi is really the only safe way to go. Unless you port your wastegate you're going to get boost creap and do some damage to your engine. Port the waste gate, buy an SAFC-II take the car to a dyno shop to have it tuned. Otherwise you'll risk losing your engine.

The most boost that the stock turbo can push is 14.7

BDoty311 08-08-04 10:10 PM

You could boost 12-15 if you really wanted to, but you aren't going to be making that much more power, but you sure as hell are going to be making a lot more heat. Keep it safe. I'd rather drive around with 10-15 less hp than blow my motor.

a guy on the forum has hit 20psi on his stock turbo. But it's probably very inefficient
