How many horses can the stock radiator and fan handle

How many horses can a stock radiator and fan can handle. I really don't want to upgrade my radiator on the fact that I would like to keep the stock fan.

there are plenty of aftermarket rads out there that allow you to keep the stock fan AND shroud
i.e. Fluidyne
Koyo
I believe Griffin has a stock replacement too

but I've heard the stock rad is a pretty good unit...I went ahead and upgraded mine to a Koyo anyways (on a stock engine)

ERAUMAZDA 02-21-04 11:13 AM

so the koyo is the same measurements as the stock

Im going to be using mine on about 300fwhp.

The fan is only used for low-speed driving and idling, so it doesn't matter how much peak power the engine makes.

Yup! direct replacement

I have a Koyo and over than it being thicker its about the same diameter..... And one of the best mods you can get for a rotary turbo car

I think by 300 fwhp he means flywheel horse power.. since you looked confused...

Since people rate the car, from the hp at the flywheel and to the wheels differently. ;)
