how hard to install new studs?
 

i'm selling my nice RH C2 wheels partly in exchange for some FD wheels and i was just wondering how hard it is to install some longer studs on the front and put some spacers in... anyone done this?

or anyone know where i can get hubcentric spacers?

STuds are easy, just bang the fuck out fo the old ones with a hammer then tap in the new ones. Your gonna be there a while and your arm will be sore but itll be worth it.

Studs: These are easy take the wheel off and the caliper. Pull the caliper out of your way or take it off the brake line too. Now towards the rear side in the back there is a little cut out opening, align a stud with this opening. Now beat the front of that stud with a sledgehammer it will pop out in 2 or 3 whacks. Reach finger in there and pull the stud out. Rotate rotor to next stud and repeat 4 more times. Do the same to the rear.

Putting them in. Stick new stud in reveres way take a punch and tap it in some. Take a old lug nut and with a air gun is easiest impacted it in some. Take the nut off and put like a large bolt over the stud and put the lug nut back on and finish impacting it all the way in. Repeat for the rest of the studs. I always replace my lug nuts.

The spacers I have no clue :-/ I have seen some on ebay that’s the best I can do.

JC: I'm pretty sure my H & R wheel spacers are hubcentric. These are special order from Germany, as I recall. You can see it here on the right front: the flat gray slice between the wheel and drilled rotor hub.

Just press them out, or only hit them from the side.

what, ont do what, hell i plan on putting FD wheels and rims on, would i need longer stud \s and spacers, i figured id ask while the issue was at large.

Nah, don't hit the wheel studs dead on! It mucks up the wheel bearings. Sorry for not wording that properly.
