How Do you test............. PLUS MORE. HELP ME!

Anyone have any voltageor ohm specs for the Main Relay Ive got an 86 RX-7 GXL

Current problems started when father in law flooded the car. He said he cleared the flood. When car restarted it mad a very odd sound. Really quick then the car started running like crap. The problems seem to be snowballing though. I mad a light tester to check the TPS. I also check with a meter. The TPS was shot. I replaced the TPS Reconnected my test light to set it up. Lights do not light at all. I tested the TPS with ohm meter. It runs throught he range nicely. I just dont think it sending out a signal to the CPU. My other problem just happened the other day while still trying to get the car to run. I lost all my gauges including the tach. They are all dead.

As for right now. I can get the car to start it runs ok with a higher idle But once it warms up... It runs like crap. No power ( I had to take a run at my driveway just to get it up to the garage. I started checking all my gounds and every single connection i can find under the hood in the engine compartment.

My Father in law was having problems with the heater not responding when he had it. He found info about the cold solder joints. He redid all the solder joints on the heater. He didnt check the controls before the flooding problem listed above. But... The Blower motor also doesn not work.

NOW.... Im sure that Minnesota Winters with massive amounts of road salt have taken it toll on the body and in sure the elctrical connection are pretty bad as well. I started checking connections under the Trailing coil. The actually seem to be pretty clean so far. I have like I said above cleaned up several grounds already. Still looking for the one that repairs the problems. Father in law sugested I resolder the joints in the CPU.

Anyone have an input?

how did you make the tester... using a conventional incandescent bulb in the test plug will damage the ECU.

BTW, the CPU is the body computer... the ECU is the engine computer.

I made the test light from LEDs I stand corrected THE ECU.
