how do you install 720cc secondaries?

I bought 2 720cc injectors a while back and will have time to do it this weekend. am wondering if anyone has done the install before? I have question on how to install them with the resistors that came with the 720cc injectors. I'm suppose to solder the resistors to the ingectors before installing. I don't know which wire to solder it on. Help!

from what I understand the injectors use a negtive pulse to fire them. Sense electricly flows negive to postive I would say put the resistor on the postive wire. the resister is baicly there to keep from frying your ECU. I am not 100% postive on that an I don't want you to fry your car. Make sure some on will back me up on this before you try it. I've got an '87 that uses the low ohm injectors so I didn't have to worry about it :)

The resistors get placed inline on the positve side of the injector. I believe the wire is yellowand black.

The Ecu controls the injectors by closing the circuit to ground. Theoretically it doesn't matter which wire you connect the resistors to but I like using the positive side.

thanks ridge tech and ranzo.

The circuit is DC voltage - it doesn't really matter where you insert the resistor.

I assume this is going in a 87.5 or newer FC?

we tried the resistor thing to no avail. Its frustrating as hell when you have to keep pulling the manifold off and on screwing with it. Find you a resistor pack off an 87 or newer and wire that in. works much better and not hard to do. good luck

I gave up on the 10 ohm resistor bullshit and ran new power wires from a pre 87.5 resistor pack to my secondaries.

okay guys thanks for the suggestions.
Ted, yeap.

Nick how would I go about it?

Should I just buy new resistors from rc for the right ohms instead?

I just popped em in. they are GSL SE injectors tho. supposed to flow at 720

I could swear those are 680s.

Ridge Tech 05-08-02 10:53 AM

GSL-SE injectors are 680's but most injector cleaning shops, like RC, can bore them out to 720's

I may have another resistor pack off an 87 TII, pm me if you are interested.

One of the easiest place to splice these resistors is at the ECU plug under the carpet.&nbsp I'm not found of adding resistors under the intake manifold myself, and installing them at the ECU keeps them a lot safer and cooler.
