How do i wire headlights to a switch?

Hey guys, after blowing up about 4 new headlight switches (even when i got a new harness and relay, just took about 2-3 months to do it) i have given up and decided to connect my H4 headlights to a rocker switch.

What i need is info on which pin on the h4 plug is + and -, thats all.
Thanks guys.

E, Get a relay that can handle the amps going through the old harness and then just hook it up like any other powered/relayed system. Gimme a call on my cell and i'll give you an idea of what you have to do for it to work like that.

Actually it's not that simple. You need to turn the headlights on and raise them. The wire from the headlight relay needs to be grounded to turn them on, and the UP and DOWN wires to the headlight motors need to be fed power accordingly. Neither of these functions require high-current relays as a operations at the switch are low-current.

95celgt, look at the wiring schematics in the online FSM. If you can't figure it out from those I suggest you take it to an auto electrician and paying him to fix the problem properly rather than risking further damage from bad mods.
