How do i shut up the seat belt light and BEEP?!
 

It started just a few times, but now its ridiculous frustrating. Is their a wire i need to ground out, or clip the wire on the idiot cluster?
I looked at RX7 chilton, but cant find anything related to this BEEPin problem.

hey bro that happen to two 7s that i had, wha u need to do is take the cluster out and in the cluster, if u look at it upsided down there is a lil speaker there, what u want to do is stick a knife or something behind it and push up so your going to snap the lil speaker off the cluster u don't need to take it completely off, just snap it off the cluster part and no more BEEP

way to break something and not fix the problem? ^^ lol mine is doing the same i believe its a sensor on the lap belt.

The problem is a sensor somewhere causing that speaker to beep.

you can kill another patient by removing the seatbelt control box under the passenger side dash, real easy to find

Wrong. The buzzer you're talking about is the RPM redline and low oil or coolant level buzzer. It is there for your protection.

The OP is talking about the beep related to seatbelt not on or door open. This (it's called a chime) is located in the CPU (along with flasher relays, timers, etc.) near the fuse box inside the car.

The CPU solder joints (esp. where the plug goes) probably need to be re-soldered. The light will remain on if you don't put the seatbelt on, but the buzzer should go off after a bunch of seconds. This is why I presume the problem is in the CPU and not the buckle not grounding.

The speaker in the cluter is the redline/low coolant/low oil buzzer. DO NOT remove it. It's there for a reason, and it happens to be completely unrelated to the seat belts.

In S4s (which the OPs's profile suggests), the speaker for the seatbelt beep (and all other beeps) is located in the CPU. It's the black box next to the fuses at the driver's feet. You could remove it from here, but it wouldn't get rid of the warning light. I would assume you could probably just cut the two wires running to each belt clip and connect them to eachother. This should tell the car that the belts are always plugged in, even if they're not.

Just FYI, for any S5 owners, the seatbelt switch is ground switched. No need to jumper wires. Just unplug the seat belt sensorharness under/behind the seat.
