Well one option would certainly be to take it off and use mass amounts of brake cleaner. Be sure not to squirt said brake cleaner in an eye.

what?

LOL

just about every intake / carb cleaner i've ever seen has a label that says, 'DO NOT USE ON ROTARY ENGINES'.

take the intake manifold off the car, and use whatever cleaning agent you like to get all the gunk out of there. rinse it off, put it back on, and cross your fingers.

i don't know nearly enough about rotary engines and throttle body chemical agents to make any kind of statement like that

but if a can says 'do not use on rotary engines', i wouldn't use it on a rotary engine

lol....one of the best ways that ive found to take carbon buildup off of a rotary engine is to suck carb cleaner through a vacuum line in the intake system!! ive been doing this for 6 years, and have never had any problems...plus, ive never seen a label that says "not for use on rotarys"

seafoam deep creep is safe on most seals and sensors, so i dont see why it would hurt the engine, its not like its being burnt 24/7 only for 15mins max, if it takes more than that to figure out how to spray carb cleaner, you shouldn't be messing with it.
