How clean throttle body on RX7 NA

Is it ok to clean throttle body with carburetor cleaner. Carb cleaner can indicates "not use on fuel injected engines". Please indicate best way to clean throttle butterfly plates with carbon buildup.

Spray gas into the TB with a sprayer, it'll clean it right up

Carb cleaner won't damage non-stick coating on inside of throttle body?

No it won't. There is no non-stick coating, its just buffed out like that. I have a guide on doing it the right way, but the lazy way is to take a bucket of simple green and let it soak in there overnight. Get some gloves and a fine wire or plastic wire brush and scrub it good. All oil and grease should be gone that way.

I soaked my TII TB in ATF once, although it kills carbon deposites, its not very good at removing grease, and it works very slowly. Point being is that it stunk up my basement and was a complete waste of time. Stick with simple green.

Get a can of SEA FOAM spray and use that. Its similar to berryman chemtool but not as aggressive, and safe for sensors
