How big of a job to take apart interior of door and put back together ?

Im having trouble with my alarm system after breaking into it with a wire hanger. Full details in my post before this one. im wondering how hard it is to take apart the door w/ power windows and than putting it back together correctly. i want to check the wiring or switches to see if thats causing my car not to start. its all the security system. the car will start via push and the battery is a week old.

it takes about 10 minutes to take the door panel off...then you have full access to the guts of the door

To access the wiring all you need remove is the door panel, which is pretty easy.

First pop off the black triagle dress piece that covers the door mirror screws.

Pull off the small door handle cup first after removing the small philips screw, the remove the large philipls screw underneath.

Then the four big philips screws in the door arm, then the dress screws at the upper right, lower right, lower left. Then feel around the carpet between the lower right and lower left screws for an indentation where you'll find one more philps screws.

The gently pry the door card away from the door, lift up and off to expose the electic connectors for the door light and door window switch. Squeeze and disconnect those and the lift the door card away.

The door handle is held on with two 10mm bolts. One you accesswith a 10Mm socked and extension by popping off the black plastic plug on the upper left corner of the door frame and rolling down the window. The other requires the window to be rolled up to access with an open end wrench.

All in, shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes to pull the door card.

Have fun.

A little careful maneuvering works just as well.

You don't have to remove the triangle if you want to increase chances of damaging it.

Just be mindful where the triangle attach's and wiggle a very skinny pry so it push's as close to that attach point as possible.
