how to adjust coilovers

Seems no one actually goes into the suspension side of this site so i just want a quick answer:

I've got tein HA types and people have told me you simply adjust them like normal coilovers so.

question 1.

To adjust the ride height (i want it raised) do i simply get a c-spanner, spin the top silver bit up the thread, then spin the next silver thing up the thread? I guess it'll push the spring up? Is that right?

also, what is the thing with the tubing coming off my shock and going up through the guard?

and question 2.

https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...hmentid=180739

how do i adjust the shocks? do i put a hex key into the top of the strut and spin it around till it clicks or something? or should there be a dial somewhere cause i can't find it

here's the original topic:

download the pdf instructions from the tein site, and yes you adjust the shocks with a hex key on the top of the strut: clockwise to go harder

i'm a little confused about changing the height though...it should be self explanatory i guess, does screwing upwards make the car lower or higher?

usually a tein set comes with two wrenches to adjust the height and one small hex to adjust the strength;

for adjustement you will have to losen the lower nut and rotate the upper nut CW if you want to raise the car and CCW if you want to lower it; after adj. don't forget to tighten the lower not;

the small hex key is used to adj. the strenght of the shock from the the top adj. small knob; if i recall well teins have 12 or 15 increments from soft to hard;

that tubing isn't for the brake line?

no tein sites i could find have the Type HA coilover instructions.

Pretty sure screwing upward should make the car higher.

yeah i never got the set, it was on the car when i bought it, do i need the special hex key? guess not i could just use a regular one right?

and the tubing, it goes into the shock where that bolt is in the pic, i'm a noob at this and it might be the brake line i really have no idea

the picture is from inside the wheel arch looking out, so maybe the tubing is just attached to the shock?

you don't need a special key, just find the right size allen wrench, and also that is in fact the brake line
