How to add keyless entry to your FC for under $30

A friend of mine bought a generic keyless entry system from eBay and installed it on his car.
Looking at the pics, it looks like an easy install - you will however need to figure out a way to run a wire from one door to the other. He did it through his dashboard. Some recommendations: Add washers to the motor mounting screws, splice wires properly (water DOES get in there) and don't mount the main unit using tape :rlaugh: If someone with electrical know-how would chime in and explain how to make the turning signals flash when the motors operate, that would be perfect! |
