Housing Resurfacing

Is this something that can be done? and is it worth it?

I noticed a thread about it from way back in '02 that kinda died...

Edit: to be more specific..in the middle of a rebuild and one of my housings has wear on the bottom edge where the corner seals run. Just trying to figure out all my options.

Are you talking about irons or housings?

Housings. I know irons can be lapped...but Ive found very little on housing resurfacing aside from JHB Performance.

I think the general consensus has been you might as well buy new housings for the time and money it'd take to resurface, if there's even a decent way to do it.

Plus JHB has some spotty feedback.

the aftermarket cannot replicate the process mazda uses when they apply the chrome surface. mazda uses special pores and channels to retain the oil film
