Hot wire on top of alt touched ground, now car wont start, anyone?
Hey, i was working on the water pump fixing a small leak and took the hot wire on top of the alt off and just let it hang (it wasnt touching anything, had the rubber boot on it) and i leave it like that and i put the water pump back on and just leave it be for the night to let the RTV dry. Well i get up this morning and it wouldnt start, and i look at the wire and its touching the manifold!!!!! HOLY SHIT! its been grounded out probably all night, the batt is still good, and the wire still has power (something i dont understand) but now the car wont start. Im getting power to the coil, and im about to go check my injectors to see if they are firing, thanks

Fuse. Check your fuses too.

your MAIN fuse has probably went on you.. its the one right in the middle.
I think there's a special technique required to get it out, but I couldn't figure it out. |
