Hot start flooding??
MY car starts fine when it's cold. But as soon as it warms up after driving if I turn it off and try start it up in less than an hour or so. Say to fill up with petrol. I start it back up and it's flooded and wont start until I take out the injection fuse and crank it over a few times. Then it starts fine. I thought it was my injectors so I had them cleaned and the o rings replaced but it still does it... Could this mean the fuel pump is stuffed or something?

Leaking injectors, low compression, and bad coolant temp sensor for ecu are the three primary causes. Sounds like you have addressed 1 so far.

Well, hot start issues is the one tell-tale sign of low compression that makes you want to get that checked out, I'd say.
Even my car starts up when hot with S4 NA coils on a S5 Turbo (just found out, shitty rebuild by PO) Yeah, and one more thing that can make your car hard to start: Bad plugs. Check em, clean em, try em! |
Had the injectors fully cleaned and pressure tested. So
Can't be them. And the plugs are brand new. So it can't be them. I did have it compression tested n it showed up 70+ each rotor. Is there anyway to increase compression in the rotors? |

Not shire if it's ok or not. How do u tell? It seems to read fi e on the gauge. It is connected. But the green wire that's connected to the top of the sensor near the fill up cap is pretty old n shitty and only held on by a few threads lol

The gauge one is not the waterpump one. The gauge one is on the plug side of the engine.

What's it look like? Would that have something to do with it not starting when hot
|
Why do you have 2 threads on the same subject. Are you collecting Frequent poster Points or something?
|
No not at all. I didnt get an answer in this post. So I thought I'd try again

well my brothers 91 does it, as well, his compression is at 91-93 front and rear average. this info is good i should try these fixes out.
