my bad |
I have my A/C system. If anyone wants to make an offer on it, PM me. Its in good condition and has been updated.
|
everything!
i'm thinking of ordering... i saw that around 6 months ago... |
since the system is empty ... you can just theoretically put in the R134 compatible oil and then refill with R134 rigth?
|
I bought/installed one of the units and it works very well. The compressor is filled with oil compatible to R-12 so you would probably have to replace that prior to installing if you are going to run 134. It is very simple to install , but if you are retrofitting a TII note that a N/A compressor/power steering pump engine mount bracket must be used. The stock A/C compressor was a Nippon Denso and it is larger that the Sanden supplied with the kit. Also note that I was going to run 134 in mine and wanted to get a 134 compatable dryer for it. The problem was the dryer had different size fittings than did the kit hoses that attached to it. Other than that, drop it in, apply Freon and go.

turbocajun,
so did you end up using R12 or R134? how did you manage to get all the oil out? because just a little bit left over will containate the R134 stuff and kill the compressor. |
Just ordered one. *crosses fingers*
Guess I'm a sucker for guinea pig auditions. |

Cheers: I had just purchased two cans of R-12 from a friend for use in my other old car if I needed it. So I just plugged in the 12 and, brrrr freezer city. Nothing cools like R-12.
