HKS Sport Springs

Has anyone heard good things about the HKS Sport Springs?
I have asked around and know one has heard anything about the Springs, I dont want them to sag later on or bounce like those cars with heated/cut springs.

They lower the car 1.5" and thats the drop I'm looking for.

Thanks

actually its only front 23mm and rear 28 mm which is like i think .8" front and 1" something rear.

You get 'bouncing' when the springs are to stiff for the shocks to compensate. If you don't do the springs and shocks at the same time, you will wear the OEM shocks much quicker and soon be bouncing with the best of them.

I have the HKS springs and my car doesn't bounce. They're progressive rate and lower the car 1.25". After the swap, the stiffness felt about the same as my stock springs.

Just wondering but how do you know that the drop is not as advertised at 1.5"?

23mm front and 28mm rear is what they are. i have no idea where the 1.5" came from. most sites i guess have typo's.

front 23mm= 0.9" rear 28mm=1.1

i got it from thier master catalog

Well if you check at the www.rx7store.net it says 1.5". I don't know, someone should tell Jason if its wrong I guess.

i was going to go with those until i found out they where progresive. went with racing beat and glad i did, they are linear.

Ryde _Or_Die 12-13-01 11:29 PM

I've heard alot about linear v. progressive rates but I haven't been too interested in getting springs really yet. So what is the big difference anyways? I am pretty sure when I do get some springs I will get the Ground Control ones that are adjustable but I am wondering.

Yeah i got it from rx7store.net,
but do any of you know where i can get good springs with a 1.5" drop?

Rx_treme 12-14-01 12:09 AM

i have the HKS springs(with Tociko 5way) and they are very good.
HOwever, when i first put them in i did not like them at all, they were shitty, really unpredictable. but then i realized they had to break in.(350-450 miles) now they are bad ass after i added the sway bars. excellent street ride too.

The only bouncing i get is called race bounce :D and even that is minimal and only on certain conditions.
Jason
