HKS PFC F-CON Question
 

I did a search but no luck. I'm routing my vacuum currently for the Pressure Sensor, and short of options for where to put it. There was a capped off line on the "spider" hard lines, so I removed the cap and placed it on there.

The ECU is not all done yet, but thought I'd check here to make sure it was an okay spot to put the vac line on. Thanks and here are the pics:

i always teed it in with the pressure sensor, the Fcon sensor is actually just another one so its ok.

i don't know what port that is that you picked, i'd put a gauge on it, you need to make sure it sees vacuum and boost

the Fcon sits in between the stock ECU and the injectors, so it uses it MAP sensor, rpm, and the stock ecu's injection signals, to come up with its output.

as j9fd3s mentioned, just tee it off the stock pressure sensor line.

the line you picked on the rats nest is for non USDM cars and is capped at both ends as it is not used(even if it is used in Canada it won't be giving you a manifold vacuum/boost signal, probably serves no purpose there either as it was capped also), so you have it hooked up to "dead air". use a little common sense next time and double check that a port actually has vacuum AND boost versus nothing at all, ever. ;)

this is just good advise! the different ports and hoses are different because they do different things.

T's everywhere, i know, but since the BOV is T'd off from the manifold, i decided to do it from there. i believe it's fine because the F-CON functions correctly. otherwise, please let me know if there's a better place (or like j9fd3s from the stock pressure sensor).

my OPINION is that because the BOV has a big diaphragm and a moving piston, that it should get its own vacuum hose, i have had some weird interactions with BOV's and pressure sensors. the pressure sensors are ok together as they are passive, and don't have diaphragms.

although if it works it works. the car i had trouble with started with the pressure sensor hose Ting into a gauge, fcon sensor, stock sensor, bov AND a boost controller! that's a LOT of T's!

i prefer to try and isolate a line to each item seperately when possible. keep in mind there is also ports at the front and rear of the throttle body that you may have capped off that go directly into the manifold such as the turbo manifold front 3, top and bottom can be used.

items that are superficial to engine functions can be teed off, such as the boost pressure gauge, BOV and perhaps boost sensors for various electronics. items with high priority to proper engine functions should be isolated and use short hoses such as the pressure sensors to the ECU.

This is good info guys, thanks and I hope this helps others when doing this. I ended up just tee-ing my oem boost gauge sensor into my fcon hose, then routing into the original intake manifold nipple. Will post pics tomorrow!

indeed, useful information here. i'll probably redo some of the vacuum lines sometime soon. many thanks to those who contributed. although there's some threads on the HKS PFC F-CON, it's nice to see some folks with that knowledge still. :bigthumb:

So I went to place the kick panel back on, and it's not fitting. The FCON harness is in the way. Any suggestions?

i let my FCON chill outside since it won't fit under the kick panel.
