HKS Downpipe
I've been eying it and thinking about adding it to my exhaust (well swapping it for something). But Im not too knowledgeable about exhaust, so what does it connect to? What connects to it? ect...

no. N/A cars have header, turbo cars have a downpipe.

Mate I've been using that downpipe for almost a year. You should install it together with a HKS Silent Hi-Power Exhaust system (cat-back). The whole combo is fantastic. Gave me instant power gains through out the rev range and sounds very mean too for a stock-ported 13BT. Cheers |

just how loud is a Silent Hi-Power Exhaust w/ the hks down pipe? does it have a resinator? i currently have a 2.5inch straight through and want to get something a bit more quiet with out alot of loss of power. i also noticed that the Silent Hi-Power Exhaust system is a 3inch so im not sure if itll just be louder?????

THere is no resonator. As I said, after i switched from a Trust 2.5" to the HKS 3" straight thru system, the the entire car felt nippier thoughout the rev range. The sound is definitely loud. With the windows wound down and crusing at 100kmh, it is very difficult to hear what your passenger is saying....:lol: What makes it best now is I just rebuilt my engine and got a large street port done to the intake and exhaust ports. The exhaust note now is even sweeter and louder! I tested the car over 200kmh on the highway and the exhaust sound is simply immaculate! Even my mates driving alongside me commented the car sounded awesome! Just remember that the intake and exhaust system is very very important for a 13BT. The more you let the engine breathe and fart the more it will reward you in terms of torque and bhp! Cheers |
I'm surprised HKS is still making exhaust for the FC, they discontinued their turbo kit
