HKS cast manifold with T04B
I have a T04B that will be going in once the new motor is assembled. With the HKS cast exaust manifold will the T04B clear the lower intake manifold??...
Anybody here have the same set-up??.. |
the hks manifold sticks way out. i'll clear the intake but it might hit the frame rail. my friend had to put a dent in his rail to make it fit

his is a full TO4, I think the "B" is smaller so you might not have a problem. if you do I would guess heat it up really hot with a torch then start to bang.

The T04B is a full T04, the B is a slightly less efficient housing than the E. The reason your friend had to bang his frame rail is because of the on-center exhaust housing, which you dont want to run in the first place, a tangential housing will clear both the frame rail and the intake manifold, that is if your running under a 1.32:D, but if you have an on-center style housing, send it back now before you use it, get a tangential, it fits better and flows better.

[/QUO **sigh*** Its sucks that i have to hear that because i have the same turbo. Its a Garrett T04B .60 V-trim .96 P-trim. Its an On-center style housing and its undivided. Im not seeking for high horsepower 7. All i want is better than stock. Does anybody have any problem with my turbo???.. |
