Hitachi s4 rebuild instructions + questions

Have a hybrid s4 turbo from rotaryshack...
smoking badly so i ripped it off and bought a rebuild kit from turbocity for the stock h18 hitachi turbo.
still waiting for it in the mail but...
will a stock rebuild s4 hitachi work for my hybrid(stock hotside, stock cartridge but upgraded 360 degree thrust bearing, 60 trim hotside) I dont see why not...
main question is are there any instructions(hopefully with the rebuild kit) floating around these forums.
hotside/cartridge/compressor already seperated but instructions on where the seals go etc...
thanks

It's actually straight forward. Don't need instructions. Did you mark the compressor and turbine wheels before you took it apart so you don't have to balance them? Did you mark the turbine housing and the compressor housing with relation to the CHRA so it will be easy to put back together? Clean the inside of the CHRA good and use oil when you are putting in the new bearings and you should be good.
The stock rebuild kit doesn't have a 360 degree thrust bearing.
For me I always send out the wheels to be balanced.

don't know if my explanation help...

standard t3 kits work, its not hard to figure out. basically the only thing you really need to replace are the journal bearings and the metal oil seals. and there is a big rubber seal on the compressor side too, but im not sure if that comes with the kit

you will need to buy/make a tool to remove the outer c-springs holding the journal bearings in. I modified a pair of needle noise pliars with a dremel to get them out.

very helpful guys, i just try to get a bit of info before i tackle into a job so "shit i took this apart when i wasnt suppost too" kind of thing happens. Had to buy a new maf when i unscrewed the plastic and bunch of springs flew out.

turbo is put back together all seems good, wont know till i fire it up though. guess ill be easy on it for the first couple hundred miles of dd next week then easy the boost back where i like it.

thanks again
