higher the temp, the higher the idle?

I just put the new thermostat in my car. No more over-heating, but i still have the wonderful idle problem. The odd part is, that the warmer the car gets, the higher the idle will get. When I first start up the car (when its cold) it idles up around 1000 (does the 3k rev first) and then goes down. Then as I drive around more, it idles around 1600-1800 or so. I'm thinking its either thermowax, BAC (note...when I unplug the BAC there is no change in idle), possibly TPS, but seemed to be in chceck, and my last idea is that maybe my throttle body is gumed up and not closing all the way. Any suggestions or help ?. I forgot to metion (and will put it in my profile...) its an 87 N\A

any ideas?
I have noticed that my car doesnt really do a cold-start 3k rpm thing. It will rev up to say.....1800 and then it comes down to its idle at 1200-1400 or so. Thermowax? or the cold start deal?
