high compression turbo rx7
sup all
I was wondering if any one out there has made there n/a rx7 to a turbo rx7 and keep there high compression. I know that an n/a has about 150 hp and the turbo ones have about 185 hp at about factory 6 psi of boost, but about how much would it have if it were high compression oh yeah i know that the max boost a high compression engine can take is 8 psi |

i heard that if you go high than that on a high compression engine the house will blow

You might toss a couple apex seals. I agree however with proper tuning a high compression turbo motor can be done. I think for most however it is easier and more cost effective to do a low compression turbo motor |
about how muchpower would it make being high compression and turbo

A high comp motor with a To4(or bigger), FMIC, 22 psi, race gas, 150 shot of No2, Standalone, straight pipes, and a P-port could net upwards of 800 hp at 9000 rpms. It may only last about 15 seconds, but you have you 800 hp engine. Want it to last longer? you will be making less HP. It is a sliding scale. |
high compression and turbo
It can be done but it's easier just to build the Turbo II.
I've seen a mustang that races the NMRA twin turbo setup high 7sec street car with a small block ford that the builder claims to have 14:1 compression. He says he wasn't willing to sacrifice compression just because he's boosting high. Not sure how that relates to a rotary engine but with a good tune i think it should be possible. |
I run 10 lbs in my streetport and have hit 12 before. I am waiting until I get my taxes back to buy a mircotech so I don't lean out.

I'm going to scream...I swear one day I'll just...

I don't blame you for feeling like that aaron.
Since, you of all people know, you can put 12+ psi on a n/a. since you have done just that. |
cool ..........hopefully sometime douring the next 2 weeks i will install a t04 b on my car
