Help, What connector is this under UIM?
I'm in the process of installing the new primary fuel rail/PD and spied this connector. I was sure that it was not in use before, but now I'm not.
Any idea what it is for? Thanks BTW: we're talking about a 1991 N/A http://www3.telus.net/alsherwood/PD removal.JPG |
It's for the temp switch for the optional auxiliary electric fan. The switch sits next to the ECU's thermosensor (that green plug) on the back of the water pump. If you don't have the fan, you don't have the temp switch.

Check in front of the radiator. That's where they were mounted.
EDIT: I can just see the blanked off spot where the switch was fitted, so no fan I guess. ;) |
