Help with Tll rear end

I have a 1988 rx7 conv. and it has the stock 3.9 rear end. I just got ahold of a nice 87 Tll rear end with LSD and I was wondering if it would bolt up to the stock half shafts. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I have heard conflicting opinions, but I have never tried it myself, so I can't tell you for sure. I am moving this thread to the 2Gen forum where you will get a better answer.

BTW, the NA MT propeller shaft will not bolt up to the TII differential flange, and you can't use a NA AT driveshaft because it is too short.

I've done this swap numerous times.

T2 diff needs the specific T2 halfshafts. You will need a new flange put on the driveshaft or have a new one made. The reason is the pinion flange bolt pattern on the T2 unit is different than the N/A one as Evil stated.

My custom N/A to T2 driveshaft with 3" tubing and 1350 Spicer Ujoints was $300!!! I have an N/A with T2 rear diff setup. LSD is good.
