Help on swapping headlight motor
 

I need to replace the malfunctional headlight motor (driver side) with a working one, and I have no idea of how to go about this. I tried just swapping the motor (tube object with a gear on the bottom to roll), but that thing is way too tight to unscrew. :wallbash:

hammer, airgun, torch, muscle guy, (or muscle girl, if you dont no a guy), prayer, angry fit which eventually makes it come of making you say "what the hell just happened?", sweet talking the car, cursing at the car, crying, calling the car worthless, crying somemore, dealing with it, removing the bumper, throw a rock at it, throw a cat at it, threaten the car that your going to buy a new car, pb blaster, wd40, both, chizle, having your girlfriend try, making your younger brother/ sister do it while you watch them struggle, breaking the whole thing off, have a proffesional do it.

although i filled that comment with alot of jokes i did put some real advice in it too.... like using an airgun, spraying wd40 on it or pb blaster, even if you torch it a bit to loosen it up, my mentor used to do that when he was working on an alignment, although he was a little crazy torching a stuck ajustment right next to the gas tank

it should be a pretty straight forward process. it took me a total of 10mintues for removal.

from what i remember you gotta make sure you keep the headlight supported before removing the arm or else it will slam on you fairly hard like it did to me, if you've ever taken out a power window motor, it about the same basic idea of how its bolted up(being very vague here). thats all the help i can give cause i havent messed with my headlight motors in over a year.

my advice, just take it very calm and slow. look at what you can reach before trying to unbolt anything so you know exactly what is attached. you'll have it out in no time. my first time i took it out i took an hour cause i didnt know that i didnt need to take out the entire assembly and not just remove the light itself. so i spent another hour figuring out what went where
