Help: setting up Tein camber plates.
 

I just replaced my intrax springs/stock blown struts setup on my '89 NA with KYB climb gear struts, The same intrax springs, and a Tein camber plates in the front.

Im not sure how old these camber plates are, they dont look like the ones from the Website, The actual plate is square, with rounded edges, and says 'Tein.' Not triangular like the ones they offer now. (Btw, I also have the racing beat, adjustable bar in the rear) But thats besided the point.

Now that I have this set up installed, how should I go about setting up the camber plates. The car has had a recent alignment (before installation of new suspension, but was done with the intrax's) So, do I really need another alignment? or can I just go by the numbers on the plates? How would someone normally go about this after the installation of the camber plates?

Sorry, I dunno how a "triangular"plate would fit the front of the FC.

No, you really need to get an alignment.
If the chassis is tweaked, then you cannot assume the marks are proper.
The marks are there only as relative reference.
If the alignment shop will allow you, you can mark off the ticks as reference while keeping an eye on the camber.
We normally mark off "street" camber and "race" camber.
We just adjust the camber plates between these two marks.

Hey Ted what do guys use as your race camber? How much diff does it make from the street setup? Oversteer?

We run anywhere from -2.5 to -4 degrees of camber.
It depends on the tire we're running up front.
We're running A032R's right now, and they can't take anymore than -3.

For street set-up, youmight not notice the difference as much (in cornering performance), and running more than -2 degrees of camber up front might cause premature tire wear on the inside edge.
