HELP - Removing motor. No Lifting eyes

Im Stuck. My motor mount went out and my motor has no lifting eyes?
Is there anything i can lift from? besides the throttle body bolts? that was a bad idea the first time.

Man... how can you figure out how to change a motor mount, but can't figure out how to hold up the motor??? Do a little thinking outside the box... Wrap a chain around the whole motor... use a floor jack from underneath...

I havent changed the mount. I havent lifted the motor at all either. Wouldnt wrapping a chain all the way around damage the oil pan?

dude....just put a piece of wood on top of the jack. i took out my transmission this way with no mounts on the engine at all and it worked fine.

It may or may not. Only one way to find out. I would bet though, that you could wrap the chain around it, take the weight off so you can change the mount, and not even leave a mark.

I've heard of people using a water pump stud.

Put a block of wood on a jack and lift from the tranny bellhousing, where the round rubber piece is on the bottom. Jack up the engine enough to get at the mount.

i pulled out a bolt from the water pump and pulled my engine out

Yeah, just jack it up on the bellhousing. If you are replacing the passenger side mount then unbolt the aluminium mount from the oil pan. This will allow you to angle the whole thing out. If you are replacing the driver side, you can just remove the mount directly.

ok. I was just panicking cause im low on funds for anymore replacement parts for the month and didnt wanna go destroy the car.

I didnt kno the pan would be able to hold up the weight of the motor but thanks for clearing that up guys.
