Help removing front spindles.

Hey all im currently in the process of doing a 5 lug conversion. All thats left holding the front spindle is the one thats connected to the tie rod? the one closest to the front of the car. I removed both nuts and i cant seem to twist it out. Or do i just yank it or force it out?

Tie rod only has one nut and goes to the spindle and the steering rack.
Do you mean the Ball joint?
The ball joint is on with a 12mm nut and bolt I believe. If you take that nut off and get the bolt out, widen the part around the nut with a chisel or screwdriver and it should pop right off the ball joint.
A Pickle fork is always a good thing in cases like this.

I used a 2 jaw small puller/pusher to push the tie rod end out. The castle nut pulls them in so its like a pressed fitment. As for the ball joint on the bottom simple taake the bolt out and hammer a stake/chisel in were the bolt was but do not hit the balljoint. Then it will simply lift off the ball joint. Assembly is exact reverse. As for installing the tie rod end simply tighten the nut down and it will suck the tie rod in. It might want to spin alittle so make sure its actually being pulled into place.

No one suggested the "bash the piss outta it" method.

When i have to do ball joints, thats how i do it.

Loosen the castle nut, but do not remove.
Grab a deadblow hammer, and belt the piss outta the lug that the ball joint is bolted through.
This will break the taper.
Some cars will drop the ball joint out under force, others you have to lever the control arm down - honestly i cant remember which it is with the FC.

The better method is to use a ball joint remover (basically a two pronged wedge that fits around the ball joint, and you get to wail on that with the hammer :))

The above would be good BUT the Ball joint has a shaft which indents to hold the Nut and bolt on.bolt goes in the spindle, past that indent and out through the other side.(put nut on and tighten.done).
It basically locks the ball joint in place.
It is the Tie rod that is conical, and YA,if you bash the shit out of it around the Knuckle part that holds the tie rod end to the Spindle,it should POP itself out..IF you are good at it!!
