HELP!!!!Ran with no fluid in Differential
 

hey rotorhead,,,idrained my diff fluid out last night cuz to find out i couldnt get my fill plug to unscrew...s0 filled up as much as i could and figured id be alright for a day or so until i can get the screw off and fill it up the rest of the way....well on the way to work this morning after about 1.5 miles it starts howling like crazy.....so i turned around and took it back home with about 3/8s of the fluid i needed. I talked to one guy and he said my needle bearing was burnt out, a few more said the same, but the mechanic i called said it shouldnt have done anything just as long as i filled it up when possible. So i got the screw off........filled it properly.....and i still get a whine....not horrible but it can get loud sometimes but about 1/4 of what it was this morning....is it the needle bearing? what kinda shape am i in guys??? help

Sounds like you roasted it. I've got an S5 NA diff if you need one. PM me if that's the case
