Help with porting (searched)
Hi, yes i've searched. But couldn't find a precise answer. I'm looking to get my engine rebuilt soon a 13bt, in a s5. Just was wondering with a large extend port(streetport?) what would i need to do to support it? As in injectors, fuel pumps ect? Not looking for the perfect setup just the minimum needed as it is my daily and i need it to be reliable. Also i was originally considering a bridgey, but is it true they aren't as reliable and alot needs to be done to run them(ecu, injectors, fuel pump, ect)?
Thanks in advance for help. |
Maybe consider basic street port on the primaries and a bridge port on the secondaries. That way you get to keep most of the low end torque for daily driving. Then some 720 secondary injectors and a way to tune (RRFPR or S-AFC with an FCD, or a stand-alone). A little manual boost controller with a simple bypass solenoid makes it easy to switch the power on/off.
That combination leaves you ready for a FMIC & bigger turbo later if you crave more power and your budget allows.. |
Thanks alot, that's a really interesting idea. How much would i be looking at for the piggyback and FCD in australia? And even with that setup i could just run stock boost correct?
