I am just getting finished with a clucth install on my friends ride and this is what we got, when the car is idling in Neatrual the speedometer moves (and the output shaft on the tranny spins?!) but when I put the clutch in the speedo stops and the output shaft stops, so that to me teels me the clutch works :) so now whats the prob?!

Normal. Assuming you have the car jacked up.... step on the brake, in neutral, clutch out, and as long as the engine does not stall, you're golden.

Edit: output shaft? I assume you meant driveshaft. Do you not have the driveshaft installed?
Is there any fluid in the trans? :confused:

thx bro, thats kinda what we figured too so we went ahead and bolted the driveshaft in and put all the heatshields and exhaust back on dropped her off the jack stands and there was no problem. Just kinda scared us a little at first.

No we didn't have the driveshaft installed yet, tranny was about half full, filled up now :)
