Help no start fried plug!!
Ok so long story short i got the car as is no start. Ran fine before i saw it running know ita good. Small fuel leak by the alternator he unplugged the harness and fixed the hose with a new one and then when he plugged it back in and tried to start it this plug fried and now no start. It was 2 complete plugs but now one side is butt connectors. What could have caused this? And how can i fix it where do i start. Thanks in advance

Define "no start" won't turn over at all? Just won't fire? Any clicks at all when turning key? Check any fuses yet? Odds are if you cooked a connector the fuse went too...
|
And what are the colors of the two wires in the plug which burned up (not the easiest to see other than they look to be Brown).

cmon guys, that's the port air connector, the B/W wire carries current from circuit 5 of the main fuse box in the engine bay, EGI 30A fuse is popped. isolate the wires from one another and fix the connector and replace the fuse.
side note, the blue and white wires aren't factory, so someone has patched them in inside that mess somewhere, that's worth investigating too. this isn't an uncommon problem, i see those connectors smoldered and a crumbly mess all the time. the bare exposed wires touching just kills the fuse and all power to everything on the engine harness. just find a suitable 2 pin 12 gauge male and female pigtail harness and replace it and be done with it for another 10+ years. you're welcome |
Ok so replaced the fuse for egi i believe and everything started. Runs tits
Now the fun part. Nothing work's on the inside no radio tach gas nothin except gauge lights. And this strange beeping. Just constant after about 5 minutes just beeep pause beep pause |
meter fuse blew too somehow.
that one is inside the cabin. |
And where would this be? One of tue fuses driver side clutch side?
|
yep
|
Meter fuse was just missing all together. Put one in ans boom works now to get this sumbitch to idle

Ok so i have oil i have coolant everytjing works except the speedo and i get the constant beeping and a random buzz
Any ideas? I checked oil and coolant getting oil change soon to see if maybe low oil viscosity is doing it |
speedo is mechanical, so your cable is either broken or not fully seated into the cluster or transmission.
beeps are the power steering computer buzzing is the oil and/or coolant low indicator |
the car doesn't recognize oil viscosity..only level and pressure.
The car will buzz around hard corners if your oil is low.. *I recall something about the Beeping of the PS if the speedo is not hooked up as the PS computer can't judge speed. It takes it from the Cluster. |
