I found this e fan in my shed today and it is a GM fan as it says Delco on it. It has a sticker on it which reads...

247 85

I tested it with a spare battery and it really pulls, like a lot. I compared it to my stock clutch fan (87 GXL BTW) using my hand as a CFM-o-meter and it's pretty dang close.

So if you know what vehicle this fan came from or, more importantly, will this pull enough air for my FC...well, post.

Thanks in advance

looks like a fan off a fiero... i have one on my n/a, it does a good job

That's kinda what I was thinking it was from. My buddy has a 86 fiero se and the fan looks a bit different on it, but it could just be from a different year or something.

Thanks

I concur, looks like a Fiero fan.

That's the fan from the Pontiac 6000, Oldsmobile Royal, Grand Am, and countless other GMs.

It's my favourite fan for the 2nd gen. Fits the radiator almost perfectly and moves a tonne of air without the ridiculous current draws of many other fans. Notice the off-center blades? Because of those it's very quite as well and doesn't vibrate. You can also get a new electrical connector at the auto parts store.
