Been using Red Line for 15 years. Sorry, in work no FSM, and can't remember amount needed. I'll see if I can find it.

i use Redline Mt-90 for the tranny, and will be using 75w90 for my LSD diff whenever i get around to putting it in.

found www.jegs.com the cheapest by a few cents.

EDIT:

buy 3 quarts MT-90 for tranny and inside shifter with a little left over (actual: 2.6 quarts)

buy 2 quarts for diff. (actual: 1.5 quarts)

What about that NEO sythetic stuff? Mazdatrix has it for 12 bucks a quart, seems pretty pricy.

Red Line is the only way to go for the Tranny as well as the Differential :D

Redline.

Relisys190 04-12-04 06:17 PM

I too use redline MTL. It's the only stuff ALOT of shops use, only because its race proven and it tested higher in almost every catagory than other trans/diff fluids...

friction material - myth??

I read that you should NOT put in fully sythetic oil in the tranny cuz the fully synthetic oil is TOO slippery and the syncros don't work right.
however, REDLINE MT90 has friction agents to help the syncros.

Question: like a jackass, I put in 1.6 quart of Redline mt90 and 1 quart of fully synthetic valvoline 75-90.

can I buy friction agents seperately? and add that to the tranny?
or should I just flush $20 down the recycle oil can and put in ALL redline MT90?

To fill your tranny you DONT need a pump or any funky tool, all you need is a funnel and a long clear tube that fits at the end of the funnel tightly and snake if down from the clutch resevoir area and go back down and stick it in the fill hole. and fill away.
