So I forgot to label my injector clips on my wiring harness to be primary or secondary and I need to figure out which is which.

How can I tell the difference between the two so I know beyond a reasonable doubt that they're being hooked up to the correct correlating injectors.

Here's a few ideas I have that could answer my question but I don't know the answer to any of these questions (obviously)
1)Wire colors?
2)Area of the harness they're located (the end or the start, or both)?
3) length of the leads they're on (short or long, or both)

I will provide some pictures shortly to help in identifying.

Color of wires depends on whether the car is/was equipped w/the resistor pack. If no Resistor Pack then front primary is Light Green, rear is LG/B, front secondary is LG/W and rear is LG/R.

Mine does have the resistor pack (I'm 99% sure) , so what would it be for me?

I have problems reading that, I'm not good with diagrams.

I'll take a picture of what I believe is the resistor box.

I think I understand the abbreviations , ill see if I'm right.

I'm on my phone so its hard to type.

Actually, I goofed as the wires between the injector and ECU are the same regardless of whether you have the pack or not. The difference is the other wires powering the injector for on a non resistor pack would be all B/Y, but on the resistor pack injectors they would be Brown w/stripes. So, you only need to focus on the Green wires only for differentiation purposes.

You just totally confused me adding the part you just added :(

If I have the resistor pack or not the wires are always the same colors going to the injector clips? f-p, r-p , f-s , r-s (assuming front is closest to front of car, rear is closest to firewall, p is primary, and s is secondary)

color codes are self explanitory you say they all have green in them? ill look and.check what mine are to see.

I will take some pics soon , I just really need to figure out how this all should be hooked up.

The wires between the ECU and the injectors are Green. These are the only wires you need to focus on to discern which is which. Post #2 has the wire colors for the injectors.

yeah I meant they all have the color green in them , right?

I'll check after I get back from going out around 6:20 , ill take pictures and post results.

Correct, one is plain Light Green while the other three are striped

well I'm checking everything out and all the wires seem to have changed colors over time making it quite difficult to determine their color.

I may have to go farther down the injectors wiring to see the actual color.

problem is the replacement clips harnesses are cut short, what really matters is hooking them up properly more than matching the wires.

here's a good example.

this may take longer than I expected.

A continuity test using one end at the ECU and the other end at the injector clip will tell you what you need to know then. 3E is front primary, 3H is front secondary, 3C is rear primary, and 3F is rear secondary.

Got them all matched up (taped them together),now I gotta label where they go as far as secondary/primary and front rear its getting dark soon but ill do what I can.

I know it looks like a mess but I've made it easy by doing what I did, better slow and safe than sorry.

I believe I've figured out the colors by tracing the wires farther down the harness.

Now ill just do something to label where they go so I can move on to the next step.

I appreciate your help satch
