Help! I'm leaking!

So i started up my car to get it warmed up while i went back inside to put on my shoes. Come out, get in, and put it in reverse. I notice that it's idling at 2k in gear w/ the clutch in which i though was wierd. Look at my temp gauge and it's at like 3/8ths and i said "wow, that warmed up fast." I've never seen the temp get past 1/3; it's usaully at 1/4. So i continue to drive and i have the heater on. I get up to the first light and i notice my temp gauge is at 1/2. I turn off the heater and speed up when i get out of the light thinking it's idling warm. Go about 3 more streets down and it's staying about right there. 1 street before i was gonna get on the freeway, i see a friend in the rear view. Pull over, he turns off his car, hops in, and leaves the door open. I notice smoke coming up and i asked him if he was hot. (Broke a 100 year old cold record for that day) He said it was my car. I say "oh shit!", turn it off, and pop the hood. There goes the smoke, it's bubbling right where the TMIC use to be and it looks to be leaking coolant (green) like crazy from below (6' X 3' puddle). Let it cool down. Not far from home so i have him follow me. It gets to 3/4 on the temp gauge 1 street before my house so i decide to shut it down. My friend said he saw smoke coming from underneath my car while he was following me. Leave it there 4 hours, then drive it the rest of the way home. Check the coolant resevoir and it's completely empty. My dad said the coolant tube was really soft and it could be clamping under acceleration and forcing coolant out the overflow valve. Not sure. Any ideas on what could be wrong? 3rd break down in 3 weeks.

Any suggestions or ideas are all greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Zack

When you say its leaking where the tmic used to be do you mean under the uim? If not where specifically was it leaking from?

It was boiling like right there but leaking from the bottom.

Coolant runs through the Throttle Bod, there is a hose that attaches from the bottom of the UIM to the block... either the hose on the top that goes from the BAC to the TB or the one underneath that goes from the TB to the block could be busted...

that one on the bottom is a real SOB..

If you messed with the UIM/TB.. you may have busted ore pulled the hose off that is underneath the TB.. its about three inches long and is "L" shaped...

Still not real clear , obviously it was leaking out the bottom because we live on earth and thats where gravity makes things go ;) When you say it was "boiling" right there you mean it was bubbling up out of a hose right there? Try taking a picture and highlighting where the coolant was coming from.

Sounds like you had the problem I had once.....

Same symptoms, and it was coming from what seemed to be under the TMIC....

Try taking off the altenator and looking behind it, there's a curvy shaped hose that bends around and connects to someplace behind it.... My hose was totally severed when I last checked it, but I just fixed it with some fuel line from Advance Auto and that fixed it right up....

Sorry if I can't be a bit more descriptive, but I bet that's your prob.... if you find nothing there, or need more accurate instructions on what to look for, let me know and i'll take a look at mine

You didn't realize something was wrong when the temp guage went up that high?
