Help! Hesitation on Decel!

Hey guys! Thanks for taking a look at my thread.

The Issue:

So, I have this hesitation problem and backfire/popping problem when i use the engine to decelerate (In Gear, Clutch Engaged, No throttle or very little throttle). The engine doesn't hesitate when i begine to decelerate from anywhere above 2000 RPM. (e.g. I decelerate from 4000 RPM to 2000 RPM) But when the RPM drops lower than 2000RPM, it starts to have very bad hesitation (The car rocks back and forward as the car is moving). I'm pretty sure the backfiring and popping sounds have to due with the hesitation because I believe that there is to much gas going into the engine at speeds under 2000RPM while the car is decelerating. But anyways, the popping sounds are prevailent when i am decelerating with about 5% throttle.

Solutions:

I have replaced the O2 sensor
I have gave it fuel injector cleaner
I have changed the fuel filter
I have changed spark plugs and spark wires
I have adjusted the TPS (Light procedure or mazda factory style)

Is there anything I missed?
Maybe bad injectors? Has anyone else had this problem before? Should I do the Voltage style check for adjusting the TPS?

Thanks again guys for the feedback!

how does the car idle? if you rev the motor slightly under no load how does it react? simple things like cleaning the tps, iacv, tb, etc., can fix a lot of hesitation issues.

Just out of curiosity, where is your timing at?

The idle is fine, not much vibration, around 750-800 RPM. But when i rev the motor slightly there seems to be a hesitation around 1000RPM. It drops fine untill 1000RPM then suddenly it stops at 1000RPM then drops to normal idle speed.

Thanks for the reply!

Hmm... I'm not sure how to set the timing, i can't seem to find it in the forums and in the manual. I do know it has something to do with the CAS but i don't know how to adjust it.

Thanks!

I always thought the lurching/bucking on deceleration had to do with a TPS being faulty. Do a SEARCH using these keywords and I bet you get a lot of responses.

Try adjusting the TPS first, then see if the BAC needs to be adjusted.

Bad tps or need of exhaust

does it make a difference wether your a/c is on or not? mine used to only buck when decelerating with the a/c on when i turned it off it didnt do it anymore
