Turning on the lights, or my heater will cause this !!!! I have an aftermarket temp guage connected to stock thermostat. Has anyone else had this problem or could help me?

You mean temp sensor, not thermostat (totally different). You cannot use the stock sensor with an aftermarket gauge or it'll read totally wrong. You're supposed to use the sensor that came with the gauge.
