Help: Car Misfires When You Press The Gas
 

just bought the car, has a decent idle but when you press the gas it miss fires real bad anything come to mind? i ama mechanic but dont know much about rotarys!! please help

Miss Fires? .................i think you mean like after firing or back firing like when you rev up high and then you let go of the gas pedal and it goes "pop pop pop"

Well its different in some cars but in all seriousness the most genuine thing i can tell you is: Its a rotary, and most, if not all, rotaries do that. You generally get it on the non turbo models but some, such as my cousins turbo, pop flames and stuff sometimes.

Anyway what i've heard from a few people is that any fuel that doesnt get burnt you know cuz of our crappy air/fuel mixture drops into the hot exhaust manifold or thereafter and just BOOM creates a small pop.

Rotaries arent too great on burning fuel efficiently hence we usually get crappy mileage and really bad exhaust smell, which leads me to believe that what i've heard from other people (that crap that i just typed up there) is true.

Make sure your TPS is plugged in.

A worn out TPS will give intermittant fuel cuts as you open the throttle.
I grabbed the following from my FAQ:
TPS test & set--------------------
Using test lights or voltage at idle readings will get your idle setting perfect, but you could still have a worn out TPS resistor.
-The golden test:
Unplug the TPS connector.
Clip a cheap analog (needle type) VOM on the orange & black pins.
Set it to the 1K Ohms scale.
Hold off the throttle & work the short range TPS plunger in & out.
You should see a smooth sweep from ~0 to ~5K ohms.
Any bad spots or drop outs in the stroke - it's bad & will give fuel cuts at part throttle.
(Before you toss it, try spray contact cleaner between the sleeve & plunger.)
- Then set it:
Find the fast idle (warm-up) cam & push it back so the throttle sits on the hard idle stop.
Adjust the setting to 1K ohms.
While holding off the fast idle cam, open & close the throttle a few times to see that the 1K setting repeats.

well i set the tps and changed plugs and wires, now it runs decent when im pushing the gas but makes a wierd popping noise out of the intake when i floor the car, and for some reason doesent want to idle n just stalls out and what is the BAC and what does it stand for?

You have the plug wires Mixed up on your Trailing Plugs.(that is what it sounds like to me!),,Check your Plug wires.The Front coil(leading coil),that is the one Right Behind your Driver's headlight.The Plug wires from that coils should go to the Bottom plugs.It does Not Matter Which Plug..The Leading coil fires to Both bottom plugs at the Same time..THETrailing Coil,That is the one right Closest to the Driver's side Firewall,That is a Different Story.The first wire,Towards the Headlight goes to the TOP plug on the front of the Engine.The Last wire goes to the Plug Closest to the Firewall. SINCE you have changed the Plugs and Wires,I am going to Bet you All teh TEA in China that is the Problem!..Let me know(Pm me!)..I like being RIGHT!

First check the plug wires as posted above.

Then check the sweep of values from the TPS.

ok just chek the wires, they are in the right location and the tps with car off and what would be idle is 1 ohm and then at WOT its around 6, did you see all the vacume lines though that werent conected what are those for and should any of them be hooked up? also do they sell plates for the egr system that has been removed from the car?
