Help on buying a TII
 

Hey,
I am going to look at TII's this weekend and was wondering if anyone could help me out and tell me potential expensive problems that I could watch for. also if anyone in the bay area could look at the car or go with me to look that would be awsome, Ill post again when I have found some more TII's, also to replace the leather seats how much would used stock seats go for? One last question, people with TII's How much do you pay a year for insurance?

anyone? all help appreciated, also If anyone in the Bay area has a TII for sale then let me know, I would much rather buy a car from you guys than some dealer who has no idea what they are selling.

First off about local stuff, might wanna post in the regional forum (or put the title in here as "Bay Area, CA guys" or something).


About what to look for:

#1-search button(had to do it :D)

smoke from exhaust
any leaks from anywhere
mileage
whether the engine has been rebuilt/replaced
rust
get a compression check done at a rotary specialist
prior to purchasing anything
Look for any electrical problems ie: w/s wipers, logicon,
etc(as there tends to be many)

Make sure all the electrical switchs work. There should be 1 key that opens every lock on the car, not two. Make sure the window washer nozzles spray right blah blah. Crap like that. Not sure if you care, but make sure the clutch switch works right.
